Description

I am the 2nd Owner of this VERY RARE and 1 of 60 known to exist 1958 DodgeSweptside D100 pickup trucks. This one has the rare 315 Hemi V8, Push Button Dash which has been parked in the barn in the early 70's,with only 68K original miles. I found the truck in Idaho after a 6 year search. This truck has original paint, As they say they are only original once.At this time listing for sale, was not something I planned to due but it's time to thin my collection.

The sparetire mount on the side, is one spot that was touchedup when it was installedby the dealer in Lewiston Idaho when the truck was new. I have the body section that was cut to mount the spare as requested by the original owner, so if someone wanted to restore this truck it can be welded back in place. " But Why would anyone restore her"? She has a few dings and dents, and the paint is worn in many areas, mainly the top of the hood. The truck has no rust andthe original paint under the fender wellseven shows good. It's running a periodcorrect Hemi, with it's push button three speed TorqueFlite transmission. TheHemi engine, starts easy, and runs smooth. The transmission shifts as itshould, but the rear end dose make some noise. (has some slop in the ring andpinion) Manual Brakes and Steering and this Sweptside is a running and drivingtruck, that is mostly original. The gas tank was pulled and cleaned, carb kitted, fluids changed, new brushesin the generator, battery, brakes bled and then the truck started right up.Brakes seem good but could be looked at in the rear. The cardboard headliner and door boardsare the original, and it has the original rubber floor mat. All paint on theinside looks nice, even the gaugesare bright. The seat was reupholstered, withthe correct 1958 material and looks great. All glass is good with no chips orcracks. The windows roll up and down nicely, and doors shut tight. All lightswork, but the horns do not. The front end has been rebuilt with new kin pins, tie rods ends and brakes. The wheels have been restored and new Coker Tires on all 4 corners. Buyer isresponsible for shipping and all shipping costs. We will help with loading onour end and in anyway we can. For questions please call Jeff 219-921-6353
