Description

1972 Dodge Dart Swinger.

3.7 Slant 6, automatic transmission, cold factory A/C, original garage kept Florida car. Purchased new at Dayton Andrews Dodge in St. Pete Fl.
93,000 original miles, re-built transmission, re-manufactured holly carburetor, new fuel tank and sending unit.
New BF Goodrich Radial TA tires 215/60/14, re-manufactured steering box, new steering pump, pump hoses, pittman arm, related components and wheel alignment. New rear leaf springs.
New brake booster, master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes and rubber lines.
New double roller timing chain, water pump, radiator, heater core, thermostat, belts and hoses.
New fuel pump, battery, ignition coil and resistor, plugs, wires, cap & rotor.
New intake / exhaust gasket, 2.25" exhaust pipe and muffler.
This car was purchased from the original owner, who lived in our neighborhood. I have owned this car nearly 10 years.
This is a 100% original, rust free, Florida car.
The car was recently painted a very attractive Sonic blue by Don Peak automotive in Hudson Fl.

New black vinyl and suede interior upholstery was custom sewn by MCOR automotive in Land o Lakes Florida. Three point seat belt upgrade, all seat belts are new. The remainder of the interior was also completed black in color, with a majority of NEW parts purchased from both Classic Industries and similar reproduction manufactures, (see all pictures)

Window and door seals, front and rear glass seals and most weather stripping has been replaced.

The original hubcaps, front grille and tail light trim was painted to match. Windows are lightly tinted to help keep the inside cool and to protect the interior and upholstery.

A tasteful, good sounding, Kenwood stereo system was installed under the dash. The CD player has hands free phone/blue tooth, Pandora, I heart radio, MP3, ect. 6x9 rear package tray speakers & 4" front speakers in the kick panels. 2 small Kenwood amplifiers are mounted in the trunk. The original AM radio is in the factory location and it still works.
Almost all of the components under the hood / in the engine bay were painted satin black and all exposed wires are covered in wire loom.
The trunk interior was painted satin black and houses the original bias ply spare tire, floor jack, base and jack handle which are all in very good condition.
Underneath the car is exceptionally clean, completely sold and rust free with the original undercoating.
There are a lot of little miscellaneous parts / details that are not listed, but were necessary to complete the project.
I would best describe this car as a clean, very reliable, comfortable, daily driver car that you can easily drive to local car shows then to work the following day.

It is an attractive car and often gets compliments when its driven.
Being very honest and realistic....
The chrome and exterior metal trim is ALL original. It looks clean, however it is nearly 45 years old and it does show age.
The front and rear side marker lights, and fender mounted signal lights were removed for a modern look.
The original white vinyl roof covering was removed. The original stainless trim for the vinyl top will be included and it is in good condition. (if you want to put it back on.)
The interior was custom sewn to look similar to original, but it is not an original interior.
A few interior parts that were not able to be replaced were painted/dyed black to match other interior trim parts.

The car is driven on occasion and the paint is in very nice daily driver condition but it is not original, it does have minor flaws.

The interior is in very nice daily driver condition, but is not original, it does have minor flaws in finish and trim.
I have been told numerous times that this car would make a perfect foundation for a V8 conversion or tribute car - though I like the slant 6.
I have done my best to describe this car in its entirety. Please look at all of the pictures, and feel free to ask any questions.

The pant and interior is less than 1 year old.

Not pictured, not listed and definitely not junk - I am including all of the original parts that I have for the car, and the new parts that I have purchased and not have used. It is not a lot of stuff, and it does not reflect the price of the car - its just included. Feel free to keep it, or re sell it. It has value, I just do not need it, and feel that it would be best to stay with the car, and go to the new owner.
