Description

1967 Dodge Coronet R/, this car is 95 percent original . The original 440 HP Super Commando was rebuilt a few years ago to stock specification, and Cylinder heads were redone with modern positive valve seals and hardened exhaust seats for unleaded gas. The original 727 Heavy Duty automatic transmission was removed and rebuilt last year. This car is a power steering, Air conditioning and power drum brake ca, power steering works as it shoul, A/C has been converted to modern 134A and blows cold, the 8 3/4 sure grip rear end was rebuilt using american Timken bearings and 3:23 gears for good hiway mileage. everything about the car works as good as new except the factory AM radio doesnt turn on . The car is still in original paint and there is only one small spot of rust under the drivers rocker in front of the rear whee, (see Pic) its only the outer skin and not even soft in the rocker . underneath is in amazing conditio, NO RUST ANYWHER, NON, ZERO. never been repaired and never been ruste, the car was an original Colorado car, it went to SC for thirty years now back in Colorad, has never seen winter road salt, The bumpers are almost perfect with no rust or dents at all, no rust holes anywhere in the trun, flord, cowl anywhere really . Car runs and drives like a dream . the only things on this car not original is the seat upholstery and the carbureto, also i converted the points ignition to a mag pickup but retained the original distributor. Door panels are offf, but in decent shap, previous owner had the door jambs and inner doors painted gold metalic . it wwas the begining of a repaint that never got finishe, this is a very easy restoration or drive it like it is. I drive her every day and have taken 300 mile round trips with no issues at all.the factory magnum wheels have no scratches or dents in the beauty ruings and the caps look great, Thhe car handles well for its age as the R/T had the heavy duty brakes, and the police suspension including a front sway bar as part of the package, tTires are in good shap, and car has no leaks to speak o, Body is EXTREMELY straight and all .the doors and feder gaps look very nice, a novice body man could have this car ready for final paint in a weeken, its really that nice, there are a couple really small door dings but that is it . no hail damage or even parking lot rash. i cant say enough about how nice this car is inside and out . Just needs a little makeover and would be an easy show winner . A real RT not a clone or wanabee, i took a bunch of pics please see my link for underneath pics . also all the armrest, door panel, new headline, original owners manual with delivery certificat, and original service manual come with the car,. I also have a set of NOS RT side emblems for it . car starts right up and i wouldnt hesitate to take this baby cross country at all.If you have any questions please ask this is a fine example of real american muscl, the stock cam sounds amazing . i just cut the original mufflers off and put a new set of flow masters on . also all fluids are new and serviced the brakes and wheel bearings . see final pic for only rust on the entire car .Its very superficial
