Description

Are you looking for the ultimate in Mopar muscle? Take a look at this nicely restored 426 Hemi Challener!? If you're a Mopar guy you already know that Hemi power is the holy grail of automotive muscle, and once you're behind of the wheel of this Challenger, you'll see why. Hemi power mated to a four speed pistol-grip and a growling exhaust make for the ultimate in street intimidation, and the real question isn't whether or not you want this car. No, it's a question of how you can be the first to throw down your deposit and take it home!Who doesn't like a Sublime Green E-body? Nobody we know, that's for sure. It's an awesome color that accentuates every line on the Challenger's body. It's bright and loud and fun, and the car's builder really let it be the star. There's a Rallye hood instead of a Shaker with R/T decal, and black side stripes. A simple set of R/T badges, chrome hood pins, and Hemi callout badges on the hood let you say just enough to be heard without looking like you're trying too hard. The paint job was done in 2007 and it looks great today. There are a few small marks here and there, just as you'd expect from a car that's been used to drive to shows and cruise-ins, but this car has led an easy life since it was completed. The chrome bumpers were redone, the stainless was polished, and the grille and taillight panels were blacked out to R/T spec. A flip-top gas cap and a dual cutout valance panel with big chrome tips sticking out finish off the exterior.New, plush seat covers are on the bucket seats which greet your arrival. A vintage Challenger rally wheel sits in front of the car's original gauges, now featuring a column mounted rev counter from Summit. The odometer reads around 24,000 miles, which is about eight grand past when the car was restored. The coolest shifter ever made-Hurst's pistol grip-pokes through the floor and just begs to be banged around. New carpet is on the floor while more gauges hang from the bottom of the dash. You'll also see the Vintage Air system mounted on the passenger side and a Sony CD player is in the dash for tunes. This car's a cruiser!Pop the hood and stand back to admire the Mopar crate Hemi underneath. It's rated at 465 horsepower and 485 pounds of torque, and you can feel every bit of it when you bury your foot in the floorboards. It's a complete package, with an aluminum water pump housing, chrome valve covers, Mopar's ubiquitous electronic ignition with an orange box ECU, and all forged internals. There's a big 26-inch radiator to keep things cool while the power steering pump and A/C compressor hang low and out of sight. A manual disc brake master cylinder offers plenty of clearance in case valve adjustments need to be made in the future. Underneath you'll find coated TTI headers flowing into one of their full dual exhaust systems with Dynomax mufflers. Suspension pieces were replaced as necessary, the brakes were serviced at the time of the restoration and there's a new fuel tank out back. The floor pans won't win any beauty contests but you can see that they're good shape-this project started with a clean car. Staggered 215/65 and 255/60R15 BFG, surround chromed Magnum 500 wheels, making it a complete package.Still reading? Why? This impressive Challenger won't last long so call today!
