Description

This car is being advertised locally and on multiple sites for sale, so we reserve the right to end the auction if it sells from those means.Read the entire description before bidding! The engine runs beautifully, but this vehicle needs a new clutch, tires and some brake work to be roadworthy, and that's reflected in the price. I will not tolerate any haggling on the price once you purchase it on ebay, that's why it is being relisted. The final sales price is the final sales price, so do your homework before you bid on this car.
This is a solid Ferrari for sale by owner. It is running very well and has just had it's major service and lots of other restoration items completed. It only has 32,882 miles currently. The exterior/interior is a rare Grigio/Rossa combination, which is very rare and beautiful. The interior is in good condition and the paint is in good condition as well, although the paint does have some spider cracks in the hood and fenders. But, you can barely notice it unless you are closeup to the hood. So, it looks good, but it will need to be repainted to be perfect.
Obviously, the blessing by Ferraristi around the world has driven up the investment value of the 308 GTSi and other 308s, and there appears to be no stopping the price increases people are seeing. Now is the time to buy a 308 because the cost of admission in this exclusive club is going the way of the Dino. After all, only 12,000 Ferrari 308s were manufacturered total from 1976 to 1985, making Ferraris like the GTSi model even more limited in some eyes. Values for a good to an excellent Ferrari GTSi from 1981 can see prices ranging from $59K to $89K using guides like Hagerty, NADA and Hemmings among others. These cars are also extremely rare in Colorado!

This car's engine is in gorgeous condition, since it had it's mechanical restoration. They even replaced all the hard hoses and rubber on the car. It starts right up and runs beautifully! When we bought it, this car had been in storage for over 10 years, before we rescued it from a barn in Michigan, literally. We stored it for another 3 years in our garage, then we brought the car in for restoration, and boom, my husband was mobilized in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, so it still needs some work to be driveable, but the engine does run beautifully right now. The clutch only has 5% left and the brakes need service. The car is currently at the Ferrari shop, so they can get the additional work done as soon as the new owner purchases the car from us.What it needs:*Brake R&R = $2,200 (Estimate-in-hand)*Clutch R&R = $2,200 (Estimate-in-hand)*New Tires
