1956 Ford Anglia/Popular Model 103E
Initial bill of sale notarized in 2006 identifies the vehicle as a 1948 Anglia. Plate photo shows 103E putting the year in question since103E's were first produced in 1953. An enthusiast puts the vehicle at 1956, based on the manufacture's plate. (If only I could shave off years this easily!)
Nonetheless, this car is ideal for the Ford Anglia/Popular enthusiast looking for a restoration project. In the post-war era, they were one of the cheapest cars in the United Kingdom and strictly known for "value for money".This passenger side drive, steel-bodied beauty is on a rolling frame and includes the ignition key and some glass. The vehicle has been garage kept with minimal rust (that’s dust on the top in the photos).
