1930 Ford Model A 2-door sedan from an estate
Description
From the estate of a West Texas car restorer. This was the restorer's personal car driven only in good weather. This is the straightest sheet metal I have seen on a Model A in many years. All Henry Ford steel. The registration lists the paint color as maroon, although I thought the entire carwas black until I saw it in just the right light. At times, the body looks brown. Very tasty combination. Although I do not have documentation, I am guessing the car was restored approximately fifteen years ago. I have driven the Model A about 50 miles. It runs good and tracks as it should. The tires have tread left but should be replaced if you plan to tour the car. The car has been stored for about two years so it needs to be driven and enjoyed. I had the oil changed and had Freeman Motors in Levelland, Texasinspect the car and conduct the following services: adjust clutch, add transmission oil and check rear end, repair brake/tail lights/switches/cires, repair spark advance linkage, repair tail pipe mount, tighten RH window channels, R&R/clean carb, R&R Fuel valve/bowl, clean, repair amp gauge wires. I recently entered the car in a local show where it placed in the top tenamong 179 entries. Bid with confidence, this is a good little A.
