Description

1976 F350 RATROD PROJECTI acquired this vehicle in a trade on a vintage motorcycleHad been settin for a spellGas and 600 cfm Motorcraft carb smelled of varnishDrained the tank, replaced the carb with a used 750 Edelbrock, changed the fluids, redid all the vacuum plumbing, and she sparked right up!All the lights work! Some ofwhat followsI know, some is speculation. From the few cast numbers we could find, we believe this to be a 69 or 70 T-BIRD motor?Cab is '76 F350 (and titled as such), no clue what the lowered front end is, the rear of the vehicle we believe to be a 1957 Desoto?10 Bolt Ford rear, the wheels are 8 lug duals just switched around, 429 CID BB V-8, most probably a C6 tranny. Thanks, ford_for_brains!The motor runs STRONG.Tires are like new (LT225 85R16) and the 6" exhaust tubes are fully functional. That being said, there is an issue with the drive train.Theleftrear wheel occasionally locks up causing the other wheel to spin harder to make her go.Drive shaft, U-JOINT, brakes, differential, tranny? NOT my forte. Also, I did NOT install a choke on the carb, thus she is a cold hearted bear to startBut runs like a champ once she fires off!I will entertain offers for parts as the tires I can use on my work vanNO, YOU CANNOT DRIVE THIS BEAST HOMEI can drive her onto your trailer, but you CANNOT drive her homeAny Question? Call Brent @ 850 421 1555I'll do my best to answer!CLEAR South Dakota titleSee our other auctions for a JEEP RATROD projectAnd now for the rest of the story, I raised the rear of the vehicle, the left wheel barely turns. I am not an expert, but truly think it is a brake issue. The lug nuts are 1 1/16" and extremely tight. Thus I cannot verify it is a brake issue. That is my best QUESS.
