1965 Mustang Restomod

For sale is a rotisserie restored 1965 mustang Restomod. Every single nut and bolt is brand new, less than 300 miles since completion in 2016 ( 6 year long restoration). Fuel injected 302 H.O roller cam (335 hp), AOD 4 speed automatic, power disk brakes, power steering, built 8” with 3.00 posi, retrosound radio with mp3 connect. Basically everything you’d want in a classic to make it run and drive like a modern car. Say goodby to carb problems turn the key and go, daily driver reliable. Easily drive it around town or cruise 75-80mph on the freeway.

Folder full of receipts totaling over $33,000 not including the initial price of the car, paint, or donor fox body. In total over $48,000 invested with a lot of work done on the vehicle by Da Rod Shop out in Simi Valley CA, known for their TV show “Rods N’ Wheels”

Paint

Glasurit two stage base coat clear coat electric blue. Clear coat was color sanded up to 3000 grit before buffing with 3m rubbing compound and polish. Extremely nice with only one small quarter sized blemish on the trunk lid shown in photos and walk around video

interior

All new interior. Flaming river tilt steering column, Scat pro car leather seats, classic instrument gauges, B and M shifter, custom sound system with mp3 connect, entire interior was dynomatted for sound deadening.

engine

Rebuilt Fuel injected 302 ( 5.0 high output) roller ca, 335hp with moderate tune, cold air intake (amazing induction sound when on throttle), electronic distributor with accel coil pack

Transmission

Rebuilt AOD 4 speed automatic with .67 4th gear ratio (overdrive) for freeway cruising

Rear end

Built 8” rear, 28 spline axles, 3.00 posi

Brakes

Drilled and slotted disk brakes up front with rebuilt rear drums, power booster, dual bowl master cylinder, wilwood proportioning valve. All new brake lines run.

Suspension

All new front and rear suspension, upper and lower control arms, springs, kyb gas adjust shocks, front sway bar, 4 leaf rear springs, inner and outer tie rods etc

Cooling

2 row Northern aluminum radiator for 5.0 swap with custom overflow tank, runs cool without overheating even in 100+ degree temperatures.

Electrical

All new from painless wiring with all the connections labeled.

Stripes

all stripes were custom made and professionally installed. (removable if buyer desires) high quality 3M carbon fiber vinyl stripe run down the center of the car with 1/2” silver pinstripes for contrast.

Exhaust

shorty headers, full 2” exhaust, dynomax mufflers, runs out the GT rear valance. Portions of the exhaust are heat wrapped with “titanium header wrap” to reduce heat.
