Description

Here's a classic original 1976 F-250 Ranger XLT.’76 is considered by many collectors to be the most desirable of the highboys. This vehicle is NOT in mint showroom condition. Has some flaws. It needs paint if you want it to be beautiful again. Has some surface rust on the drivers side, rear bumper and bed mostly. The seat has a tear on the drivers side. The bed has several dings. It was used as a work truck. The rear bumper has surface rust. Missing some trim along the bottom drivers side. The blinkers sometimes stick or don't work that great. There's a small rust hole by the front drivers side fender (see picture). When its cold and you first go to start it, you have to feather the throttle for a couple minutes, otherwise it dies. Once it's warmed up it stays running fine. The power steering is not hooked up, we do have the pump for it though. The E-brake needs tightened up. It has a little damage on the front left grille from bumping a fence post (see picture). Again, it was our work truck for a long time so it has some dings and what not. Also I think it maybe used to be an automatic because there's the hole in the steering column (see pictures).
Now for the pros. It has a good strong running motor. The guy we bought it from 12 years ago put around $2000 into the motor having it overhauled, and we recently put around $3000 into the truck. New fuel pump. New u-joints up front. I believe it's got the 390, but could be the 360 V8. 4-wheel drive works great. Good solid classic truck. It runs and drives perfectly fine and sounds good too. This truck is pretty much all original. Would be a good restoration project.Feel free to message me with any questions you may have prior to bidding. I'll do my best to answer them.
