Some of us want more from our classics. For example, this 1965 Ford Mustang has modern metallic paint, a custom A/C interior, upgraded five-speed stick-shift, and a performance-built 302 V8. Best of all, these upgrades (and many more) to this icon still comes with an obtainable price tag.
There has been a solid investment in getting the iconic pieces right, like making sure the body panels straight and the chrome is mirror-like. But what immediately gets noticed on this classic is its more modern appearance. There was a smoke sliver on the color palette in '65, but this one is so much richer. The modern dark gray metallic has the kind of luster that only comes from clearcoat paint. It gives this coupe an attractive shine, and at the same time, a bit of a dark and sinister attitude. Or maybe this intimidation comes from elements like the 15-inch REV alloys, tinted windows, and the dual scoop hood that feels inspired by the later Shelbys. Of course, all you have to do is read the callouts on this car, and you know it has the power to back up this appearance (more on that in a moment.)
Inside the upgrades continue. In-between the classic low-back bucket seats is a custom center console with a padded armrest. This has nice convenience features like an AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input and cold R134a air conditioning, so that everyone stays happy. But the best features are reserved just for the driver. There's a wood rimmed three-spoke steering wheel for your left hand, and your right one may never want to leave the Hurst shifter. And the upgraded Dolphin gauge package with large speedo and tach is another great sign there's something special in the engine bay.
The larger 302 cubic-inch V8 wasn't available until later years, but this first-year coupe couldn't resist the upgrade to go with its speedy image. This V8 looks right at home in this upgraded pony with nice features like the Monte Carlo bar, bright air topper, and Mickey Thompson valve covers. More than just look good, this is a strong performer with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, performance intake, performance cam, and an aluminum radiator. Plus, long tube headers add extra performance as they feed the Flowmaster dual exhaust. This V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission, so you've got an extra gear than everyone else to take full advantage of this enhanced motor and its growling soundtrack. Not only have there been upgrades for speed, but also it has been upgraded for control. This coupe now includes front disc brakes, rear traction bars, and the grip of Cooper Cobra tires.
Plenty of power and comfort headline this custom classic Mustang. But while it looks mean, the price is so nice. That's why you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!
