1988 Ford F250 XLT Lariat 4WD extended cab w/351 Windsor
Description
I have owned this truck for about 17 years, but have not driven it the last 4 years. The body has just deteriorated to the point the doors no longer close easily, but it was driveable and mechanically sound. The engine (351 Windsor) was completely rebuilt by a local reputable engine/race shop and has less than 7,500 miles on it since the rebuild. It needs to go, but I hate to take it to the scrap yard knowing someone might be able to use the engine or drive train parts. Or maybe someone has a good body that could be set on this frame. I figure it is worth $200 scrap value, and I put over $2000 into the engine. I'm sure I can get it running if someone wants to hear it run. Might even still be driveable. I'm tired of watching it rust in my driveway, but I'd feel better if someone could make use of it rather than melting it down. Has a Pioneer radio/CD player and Pioneer 6x9 speakers and Cooper Discoverer STT (16.5") tires on it, 2 of which were in pretty good shape. I believe only the 1988 and 1989 are an exact swap for engines, but I'm sure the engine could fit other things with modifications. I believe this was the first year of EFI.
This has a 3 speed column shift automatic. The transfer case had some work done to it by a local transmission shop since I've owned it. There were no issues with either when I parked it.
The mileage is unknown as the odometer only has 5 digits and I don't know how many times it rolled over before I bought it. I'm certain at least once.
