1960 Ford Thunderbird Convertible for sale, restoration project
Description
1960 Ford Thunderbird convertible for sale. Ill try to make this short and sweet. I purchased this car in Michigan atthe Ford 100 anniversary. It has no rust except for some pin holes on the trunk floor and rust spots all along thelower body skin on both sides front to back. This is why the bottom of the body skins were removed here and there. There is absolutely no rust on the frame or anywhere else on the car. This was not a rusty car. However, I had thebrilliant idea to completely disassemble the car to fix the body rust and restore the car and the project went bad about 3times. Needless to say I never finished the project and here the car sits in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The car is completelydisassembled, every last nut and bolt is off the car. I have all the parts for the most part. I will assume that anyone whopurchases the car will want to go through the parts and make sure. I have all the convertible parts for the car and all werein good shape when removed. Remember that the car was in very nice driving and cosmetic condition before I disassembledit with the exception of the rust spots which were obvious. It was stupid to disassemble it but that was my mistake and nowhere we are. The engine and trans are on an engine and trans dolly fully assembled. THE ENGINE AND TRANS DOLLYDO NOT GO WITH THE CAR AND ARE NOT PART OF THE SALE. However, the car is on top of a rotisserie that cost me$2500 and was never used except for this car. Once the job went bad for good, I "very slightly" modified the rotisserieso it will fit under the car as a dolly so we can roll it around. This rotisserie does go with the car in the sale. Very slightlymeans that I did not cut the rotisserie or damage it in any way, I just welded a few straps and wheels to it to keep it togetherunder the car. I have some of the replacement panels for the body but didn't really have enough room to picture them. They are dirty and some have some surface rust which, I think, can be cleaned off. The body of the car is not rusty. It hasa thick coating of Fertan rust neutralizer because I had the car sand blasted and so the body was bare so we coatedit with Fertan. The stuff is the color you see on the car and is deceiving because it looks rusty. It is not. The car was red andhad red leather interior with a white top skin, no air, power drivers seat, am radio. It drove and ran nicer than most squarebirds I have ever driven. The top worked perfectly. The deck lid, package tray and flap are in excellent condition and haveno rust. The package tray has no rust or damage. All the convertible parts are still in very good condition. The car wasalways garaged even in this condition. The photos you see were taken about 10 years ago. The car looks exactly the sametoday, nothing has changed so I just used these photos since it looks exactly the same today. Obviously if you purchasethe car you will have to come out and pick it up. I do not and will not arrange your shipping. I strongly strongly stronglyrecommend that you come see the car in person to be 100% certain of what you are purchasing. I take cash only or a bankmoney transfer, dont ask for any other arrangement because the answer will be no. I will not ship it to Texas and acceptyour phony cashiers check. CASH ONLY. NO CHECKS, NO TRADES, NO BS. I am Nick from T-birds by Nick when Ihad my Thunderbird shop in Los Angeles. I am now in Colorado. I don't lie about my ads, I sell tons of stuff on ebay under"nursetamiern" and my eBay store "Nicks Thunderbird Parts" and I have an impeccable reputation. If I tell you its so,then it is so. Obviously the car needs a full and complete restoration. If you have any questions send me a messageand I will answer them as best as I can.
