1965 Mustang "A" Code 2+2 Fastback Rust Free
Description
Due to health reasons I havedecided to part with my 1965 Fastback without finishing it. I have owned this car for over 20 years and it has been in dry storage ever since, working on it when time andfunds permit. This Mustang is a southern car and the only rust it has "ever" had was a few small pin holes in both front floor pans, both floor pans have been properly replaced. All of the other body panels, including floors, quarters, doors, hood, deck lid, and roof are original to the car. This Mustang shows no signs of ever being damaged in any way. This car isa factory "A" code 289/225HP 4 barrel, 4 speed car, and is being sold without either an engine or transmission. The 3rd member is currently a 9" positive track.Factory front disc brake car. The car was originally white with red interior, but my plan was to bring it back black with black interior. The body was stripped down tothe shell and professionally media blasted. The shell and all ofbody parts have been primed with self etching primer, urethaneprimer and professionally painted raven black with base coat clear coat and looks absolutely amazing. During the painting process the doors were off, so all the jams and door edges were painted just like it came from thefactory. All of the interiormetal and fiberglass pieces from the dash to the trap door have also been painted black and are ready to install. There are "no" speaker holes in the interior fiberglass quarters or trap door. The belly of the car hasbeen detailed and looks very nice. The front suspension has been replaced with a complete kit including control arms, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings and Shelby lowering springs. The rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders are new along with new rotors and calipers in the front. The tires and Torque Thrust wheels are also new with zero miles. A new fuel tank, sending unit, gas cap, taillight lens and bezels, GT exhaust bezels, rear bumper and 4 new Monroe shocks have been installed. In addition to the new parts already mentioned the following new partswill also be included : black carpet set with sound deadening, black door panels, window cranks, black headliner, window felt kit, black arm rests with chrome bezels, exterior door handles, black wind lace molding set, glove box, aluminum seat trim and hinge covers, threshold moldings, door weather stripping, roof rail weather stripping, trunk weather stripping, windshield gasket, rear window gasket, front parking lights with retainers, front bumper, battery tray, heater ducts, spare tire cover, trunk board, new heater core in rebuilt heater box, and washer bag. The original door glass and rear window are in very good condition, I do not have a good windshield. The seats are in very good condition, but are still red.I have all of the exterior trim and it should be considered to be good driver quality. If you are looking for an easy winter projectwith most of the hard work done, then this may be the one you have been waiting for, especially if you aresitting on a power plant and transmission that needs a new home. I have tried to describe my car to best of my ability, but have probably missed something that you need to know, if so just ask. Also if you or your representative would like to inspect the car and parts prior to the end of the auction again just ask and arrangements will be made. I am located in Independence Mo 64056,approximately 10 miles east of downtown Kansas City Mo.Car is being sold "as is" "where is" with no warranty. When payment in full has been made, a clean Missouri title in my name will be furnished along with the car.The new owner will be responsible for all transportation costs if needed. I can provide help to the transporterloading on this end. This Pony is well on it's way to being a beautiful car that will enhance any collection and make it's owner very proud. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
