Description

We are excited to offer this 1955 Ford F100 (big back window) pickup for sale. This is a street rod pickup, (not an original vehicle). The mileage is unknown, so the odometer should not be relied upon. This truck has seen many improvements and custom changes. I will attempt to describe this truck, however we were not the builder, nor do we know the builder. This truck was probably transformed and completed in the 90's, as we suspect because some of the modifications look like those that were done in that era. Starting at the front of the truck, the bumper has been molded in, probably as a result of the trucks front suspension being modified to accommodate a Volare front clip. The change gave this truck a great ride, power front disk brakes, power steering, and torsion bar front suspension. This truck is powered by a late model 350 Chevy V8, which more than likely was a crate motor. The engine provides more than enough power, it idles smooth and quiet. Transmission, we are not sure but believe it to be a 700R4. Not much in accessories, no power windows, A/C or heat. It does have a AM/FM CD, with blue tooth, a VIPER alarm. As for the modifications, we'll let the pictures do some of the talking. Inner fenders have been smoothed, painted, and accommodate the headers nicely, Firewall has been smoothed and painted. The door handles have been shaved on the exterior, the doors open with popers nicely. The stock gas tank behind the seat has been relocated to the rear and the filler has been nicely added to the bed floor. The bed has had modifications to the bed rails (smoothed, rounded and stake pockets filled. The bed has been slightly tubbed (72 chevy inner fenders), nicely done wood and trim for the floor. Tail gate has been louvered and a third brake light added. Paint and body was nicely done, however does have some minor blemishes and scrapes, mostly because it sits low. Ride is actually pretty good, better than someone may expect. Tiers are good (no spare). Interior, including seat, door panels and headliner nicely done in the sculptured look. Carpet is nice as well. Dash is very clean and has beautiful gages, (which all work). Cowl vent still operational
