1994 Mustang Gt 5 speed
Description
I bought this car from a 74 year old man in Northern Mississippi, I'm 60. I have put about 2K miles on it since getting it. It ran fine when I first got it but I wanted different gearing than the 2:73 stock gears. I changed the gearing (full rebuild including new diff rebuild) to 3:55 using a solid spacer instead of crush sleeve(stronger). I changed the timing gears, water pump and thermostat. Also changed the tranny oil. No rust issues, paint is still ok at about an 8 out of 10. A/C just needs recharge ( checked compressor and it works fine). Tires are about 90% tread.
I also put in new plugs, plug wires, distributor cap & rotor, K&N filter and etc sensor (If they are weak can cause fuel delivery to be off). Car runs great, good power no odd noises, shifts normal, drives normal, all electrics work. Driven about 1K miles on rear end rebuild. No noise from it quiet as a new one.
I also put in a new CD player, new rear shocks, Walker cat back exhaust, new brake pads all around and took off the spoiler (have original spoiler that goes with car sell).
This car is very reliable and could be driven cross country if needed.
One issue only: The rear main seal leaks very slowly, not even enough to show below full between change times. I bought everything needed to change it out but have not arranged the time to do so yet. I have, new pilot bearing, throwout bearing, clutch disk (not slipping but if you go that far may as well change it too) micro sleeve for crank and Fel Pro rear main seal. All go with sale.
