Description

Listing for a friend, this time on her eBay account.

1969 Ford Mustang Sportsroof 428 Q code four speed 3:50:1 trac lok. One of one built. Please see pictures of Marti reports

Car was originally black jade exterior with black standard interior with high back bucket seats. Manual steering, power disc brakes, white sidewall tires, AM radio, racing mirrors, argent painted styled steel wheels, and competition suspension. They only made 1485 total non mach 1 and non GT fastback sportsroofs with 428 Q code and 4 speed.

Car is a rusted roller. I loosely assembled it all. I put a 9” rear with junk 28 spline axles in with no center section just to have it movable. The car retains its original shell with uncut big block shocktowers, both inner aprons have the vin stamped in, the dash vin tag, and the staggered rear shock four speed trunk panel. All the front suspension ( minus sway bar ), front disc brakes and manual steering are the original parts to the car. The wiper motor/linkage, lower metal dash, steering column, seats, front fenders, doors, ¼ glass, etc is the cars original parts. The doors are very good as well as the fenders ( driver side has some bondo at the head light bucket area ).

The car has usable shock towers, vin numbers, vented cowl, front fenders, door posts front and rear, doors, windshield posts, roof, inner sail panels and some misc pieces for the body.

Included in the sale is brand new sheetmetal for the body. Both front and rear inner aprons, front frame rails, one piece cowl, outer rockers, one piece floor pan, torque boxes, emergency cable bracket, seat risers, rear frame rails/torque boxes, one piece trunk floor with drop offs, inner/outer wheel wells, full quarters, tail light panel, rear valance and some small goodies like trunk spare tire hold down, etc.

I don’t have front valance, grille, headlight buckets with out a broken tab, hood or good trunk. The trunk on the car is original but the lip is rusted.

The body is very rusty and needs to be redone. It had rear quarters put on and floors patched at one point. They did a lousy job. The car looks better in the pictures but that floor is junk and the rockers are rusted.

I took all pictures of the problem areas before I made it a roller. Tires hold air.

I contacted a mustang body guy out in Pittsburgh and he gave me a rough quote to have the whole body done, on his mustang jig, reuse the important parts, new sheet metal as needed, the original doors, fenders etc, numbers in, detail welded ( grind mig welds, dress to look like spot welds ) done in self etching primer for $ 7500. I can include his number if it sells.

The original drivetrain is long gone.

Clear Pennsylvania title. Will also provide bill of sale.

Car is for sale locally. I can end the add at any time. It is on Philadelphia Craig slist.

Please ask questions before bidding. Can send more pictures as well.

I have a repro oil pan from Scott Drake on it. All original parts and correct casting numbers, just miss matched dates. Block is actually “135” territory, C scratch 428 December 27, 1967.

Also have other heads and such as well.

She also has a 1969 mustang Q code mach 1 rusted away to nothing. Worst than this car. And a 1969 mustang H code 4 speed sportsroof rusty roller. A hair better than this car.

And a 1969 Torino GT fastback 351 auto project. There is also some rotted empty shells that are 1969 Cobras. One fastback and one formal roof.
