This cherry red little coupe comes with a lot of local race history. Documented three owner car. The car has spent its entire life in the Pacific North West. Built 350 Chevy V-8 w/ 350 Turbo automatic transmission and a 9" Ford posi rear end. Power brakes, windows and steering. Tilt wheel, ice cold Vintage Air A/C and heat. Mildly tinted windows custom made specifically for this car. Super stitched tan fabric interior. Documented race history. Only 3800 miles has been put on this car since its restoration. The car has never seen rain since the restoration was completed.
LOCAL RACE HISTORY- This 34 Ford was a old school original gasser. The black and white photo of the car was taken at Woodburn drag strip in the sixties... At the time it had a 283 V-8 with Hilborn injection. This is the same little '34 Ford Coupe that raced at Woodburn Drag Strip back in the Sixties. The car was all white then and sported some graphics on her side "Goofin Noff". The owner and driver back then, was Jim Hoxit who belonged to the Ramblers Car Club and he was sponsored by the old Shakey's Pizza in Milwaukie Oregon. The gentleman that purchased the car from Jim spent the next thirty years getting it to the show class condition it's in today. I have a picture album full of pictures documenting this car from the sixties through the 30 year frame off nut and bolt restoration. The craftsmanship is second to none. Multiple show/best of show winner. One of the best Show stopping Henry steel 1934 Ford coupes you will find anywhere......
MOTOR, TRANSMISSION, AXEL- Rebuilt Chevy 350 four bolt main engine. Mildly built (approximately 350 horse power). Rebuilt turbo 350 automatic transmission with shift kit. Upgraded torque converter. Custom built heavy duty radiator. Both manual and a electronic fan mounted in front of the radiator keep the motor running cool in the hot summer heat. Holley carburetor, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold, shorty ceramic coated headers, Flow master stainless steel exhaust with H-pipe, Petronix Flame Thrower distributor and coil, Interstate heavy duty battery w/ custom cables. electronic ignition, high torque starter. Ford 9 inch posi rear end, geared for the highway. Ron Francis custom wiring harness. Polished aluminum 100 amp alternator, water pump, A/C pump, engine pulleys, radiator over flow canister, and engine brackets. Polished billet custom valve covers and air cleaner. Custom gas tank. The battery was relocated and hidden in the trunk. The motor has plenty of power and a nice mild lope. The transmission shift great. I only use ethanol free gas when driving or during storage.
PAINT & BODY- ***SHOW STOPPING NUT & BOLT ROTISSERIE RESTORATION*** Real "Henry steel" 1934 five window Ford coupe. Garaged from the 60's to present. Three ring binder full of pictures documenting every aspect of this nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. All work was done over a course of 30 years by a old school master hot rod builder, and fabricator. This was a labor of love and pride. His intent was to build his dream car. The car was professionally chopped 3 inches, the door handles, hinges, drip rails, and trunk handle was shaved. Smoothed fire wall. The entire car was stripped down to bare metal. What little rust repair the car needed was done using replacement metal panels. a full custom floor was fabricated. Remote electronic solenoids now operate and open both front doors and the trunk lid. A absolutely flawless cherry red paint job was applied to the pristine original body resulting in one of the most beautiful paint jobs one will ever see. The paint was color sanded, buffed and polished to a show finish. The paint still looks as good as it did when it was applied, There are no blemishes or scratches. The car has never been washes, it has been dry washed only. There was a additional tail light frenched in under the rear window. Louvered removable hood engine side panels. The frame was completely stripped to bare metal and repainted the same color as the car. Every nut and bolt was polished, painted or replaced on the entire car/undercarriage. The paint is flawless. The body lines and panel gaps are perfect.
INTERIOR- Super Stitched full custom interior installed by one of the best in the business. The fit and finish is superb. Custom tilt steering column fully painted, mounted under dash with a custom billet polished aluminum steering column bracket. Power windows, power steering, power brakes, Vintage Air A/C & Heat. Full set of custom gauges. Shaved dash board for a very clean look. Fully adjustable/reclining bench seat. Plush interior carpeting. Ron Francis wiring harness. The wires under the dash are hidden, organized, and very professional in appearance. Full custom door panels, interior panels, trunk panels, and headliner. Fully painted, finished, and upholstered trunk area. The interior design is clean and very comfortable for long drives.
BRAKES & SUSPENSION- Fully adjustable coil over rear shocks, four link rear suspension, custom drive line, stainless brake lines, power front disc front brakes w/ proportioning valve, updated drums in the rear. Flaming River power rack and steering box. Front four link drop axle with mono leaf. High performance front shock absorbers. The car ides smooth and handles very well. I recently spent a couple days completely detailing the under side of the car/undercarriage to get it ready for car shows.
OTHER- Restored 1934 Oregon Plates currently registered as collector plates, hidden kill switch and multiple theft preventive upgrades. American Racing Hildobrant style polished lip wheels with grey centers. BF Goodrich tires (185/65/15 front, 235/65/16 rear).
