1967 Ford Mustang Convertible Project
Description
Pictured for sale is a 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible Project. It is an original San Jose built convertible that has spent its entire life in the dry western states. As expected, the entire substructure and body are quite solid. Although it will need a complete restoration, it is about as original and unmolested as you can find. It appears that it has never been taken apart and may even have the original Lime Gold paint. It is about as complete as can be -even with the original hubcaps left in the trunk. The Mustang features a 289 V8, C4 automatic trans., power steering, and a power top. (See Marti Report)Being a dry west coast car, as the pictures illustrate, there isn’t even a trace of rust on the front frame rails, shock towers, inner rocker panels, torque boxes, or rear frame rails. Additionally, the doors open and shut well indicating that the structure underneath is perfectly solid.
A previous owner stated that the car had been sitting for awhile as no attempt has been made to start it but seems that little effort would be needed to get it started and perhaps to be made drivable. Many agree that the 67 model year was one of the most desireable and sought after years for the early Mustangs. This Mustang is very complete and untouched and would be ideal for a Restomod or at the minimum, worthy of a correct restoration back to original. The Mustang has a clear Washington State title as well as the data plate that is still attached to the drivers side door. The car presently rolls and steers easily and I will assist any transporters to load the vehicle for shipping purposes. Please ask if any additional pictures are needed or if any questions arise.
