Description
Hello Everyone, well we have here a true California barn find 1936 Ford truc, that has been in storage for over 30 years ! . Came from a second owner who has passed, found here locally in a tucked away residence of Sam Gabriel Valley. I really don't know much of a history on it but it always a Southern California truck with little rust only on top of metal bed cover, which you can remove, there are good wood bed slots under, and some minor rust spots back of cab and rockers. Some crude bondo slap on repairs through the years covering few such spots. But the frame is all Clean and rust free, just original patina surface rust color but very solid. Three fenders do have some stress cracks, and front grill bit twiked on center bottom. It has a Ford flathead motor from a later yea, mid 40'sw and after installing a portable gas container, the truck started right up and actually drove around the City for a bit. It still has the mechanical breaks and they work fine, as can be. All fluids and spark plugs have been changed, distributor rebuilt prior to starting of the engine. Carburetor could use cleaning, rebuild. Number matching on the Frame and transmission case. Great truck to restore or rad rot, title pink slip has been lost through the years but I had a State Certified tech come out and verify the Vin numbers and have the paperwork, if registered in California, you need to take the truck to the certified scales and get a weight ticket, then you can register and obtain the title pink slip. Sold in as is condition, have more pics and info, please ask. We are in Upland Ca,. 91784. Upon winning the auction, payment in cash, in person only ! All shipping will be taken care by the winner, bidder, new owner. Contact me we will arrange everything. Truck is also listed locally in Craigslist and if it sells before the end of the auction, this auction will be removed. Thank you :)
The Reserve is $10k
On Oct-31-18 at 03:03:51 PDT, seller added the following information:Sorry, forgot to mention that doors do not have glass, but mechanisms and door handles are there, also truck never came with it's original seat, there is a small bench in there right now probably came from a third row dodge van, but fits perfect and comfy, not bolted in so it can be removed easy. I also have an original canister air cleaner and other extra parts and wheels that go with the truck. The tires are fair to some good and hold air well. Checke, inspected and adjusted all break shoes and mechanical breaks and parking brake all work well. It's a 12 volt system now, with a new battery and coil, points. Fuel tank is there but have not had a chance to clean it and connect with new rubber hoses yet, it looks like maybe an aftermarket fuel tank in the back not sure. Any other questions, please ask. I do have a video clip of the engine running but coulnd't download it here.
