Vin number 1F05J186558. The color is Medium Green over Black. The last reported mileage on the title is 44,971 in 1996. The current mileage is 48,047. The car has been in storage for the past 15 years in a dry garage. This is a numbers matching car! This Mach 1 was ordered with Ram Air and Air conditioning. 4 speed manual transmission. The original Vin sticker is present in the door and the Vin plate is on top of the dash. This Mach 1 would make a great project restoration car for any collector. The car is all there. The floors, rocker panels and body are solid. The trunk needs work, as it is rusted through in areas. The body is straight and all the panels and gaps line up, I see no evidence of the car every being hit. The paint is tired and faded, peeling in areas around the car. There is surface rust on various sections of the car that will need to be addressed. The chrome wheels and rear bumper need to be refinished. The interior is all original and all there. The dash board has a crack down the center. All gauges work as they should. The odometer does not spin. The Tachometer and speedometer both work. The carpet is original and looks in decent shape. The seats are not ripped or torn. The door panels show well. The original wood grain trim is intact. The headliner is all up but does have a few holes in it. This Mach 1 runs and drives! I have personally driven the car down the road up to 70 mph. The engine pulls strong! The clutch and transmission both operate fine. At our shop we drained the fuel tank, replaced a couple of hoses, replaced the inline fuel filter, and timed the car to get it running properly. The engine idles and revs strong and smooth. This is a running/driving project. You will not find another 1971 Mustang Mach 1 429 Cobra Jet for sale on the market!
