I was in a wreak in my 1976 Gran Torino wagon. I was rear-ended at 70miles per hour. So, the engine and transmission where transfered to the 1970 Thunderbird which had no engine and the transmission was shot. I rebuilt the engine in the Torino 3 years before the engine was transfered in the fall of 2015 and I board it over 20. So, I guess you could say it is Fords 420 big block. All engine parts in the future will need to be from this year vehicle and all chasis parts in the future will be from the 1970 Ford Thunderbird. I had the shifter moved to the floor from the colum.
