1966 FORD GALAXIE 500 FASTBACK

If you are looking for a car with muscle, look no further; this is a true classic. This project was a FULL restoration (body off and pieced out – stripped to bare metal, primed and painted) from the floor pans up – completed Summer 2017. Glossy paint job with a tweed interior with black accents.

Notable features on this 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 include custom paint and interior; seats were outfitted with three-point “aviator” style seatbelts and headrests for comfort and safety. Every component is present and functional (headlights, brake lights, wipers, horn, etc).The engine was freshened up and received new lower bearings, headwork, gaskets and a high flow oil pump. It has an HEI distributor and 4-core aluminum radiator.New shocks, springs and a sway bar were installed as well as power steering, front disc brakes and new rear brakes. The rear exhaust was sectioned in with new exhaust and side turnouts and a hydraulic clutch setup was added to the vehicle. Hella headlamps were installed and a secondary fuse box with relays was installed.

The 390 engine, manual transmission with column shifter, power steering, power brakes and sway bar all combine to create a smooth ride with improved handling that make for a unique and enjoyable driving experience. This restoration was completed to create a daily driver worthy of a weekend show!This car recently took 2nd Place in Best of Show at local car show sponsored by the Antique Automobile Club of America. Recent appraisal classifies this vehicle as above average or excellent for a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500. Car is currently registered in NC with a clear title.
