Description

Here is your chance to get a running and driving project! The Bronco runs and drives. Just had it on a 20 mile trip. Not many of Project Bronco's that run and drive under $10k!
As I said, it does run and drive, but doesn't mean that it would need some attention up being re-homed. The truck is idles ok. Brakes work well. Clutch needs adjusting. Tires are marginal. Good Glass all around. Light oil leak from rear main.
The Bronco spent it's life in the dakota's. That explain why it is so clean. It is just showing to have some rust here and there. There are patch pans of the front driver and passenger floor. The floors are still under the patches. The frame is super clean. I put many pictures of the sheet metal from the top side and the bottom side.
The Bronco is powered by a 302. The engine looks to be an early 70's engine. Three speed on the tree. 4x4 with lock outs. I have not tried the 4x4, but was told it works.
The owner was being creative and welded the front doors in and than took a saw and cut out an opening in the doors. I have to say it is kinda crazy! But, it is totally original! The door opening is sound. If you want the doors off, you will have to grind the welds off. There is a picture of the front left door from the inside. You can see that it isn't welded in on the inside. It is just an outside thing.
These early Bronco's are super cool. The window door frames come off, so you can have just the door on and a total convertible feeling when the top is off. Another cool thing is the front glass folds down. So you can have a totally open feel.
I have many ford parts parts and have been looking for a vehicle to put them on. I saw this and bought it as soon as it went up for sale locally. I also had a '64 ranchero coming in from San Francisco. My plan was to keep the best of the two and the Ranchero will work better for all my parts.
The Bronco is hideous, cool, runs and drives. Has a funky brush guard, crazy step bumpers on the back and the "frankensteiner" door thing going on. It has lots of upside and I look forward to re-homing it. There is a clean title for the truck.
