Restored, solid driver quality Shortbed stylesice BBF V8 Auto
Description
Half price End of Summer Sale! 1965 Ford F100 Big Block Ford V8 Shortbed Restorod. Looks sharp, drives nice, and gets attention with low rumble of dual exhaust. Selling it because I just don't drive it enough and need garage space. This is a very nice driver-plus quality truck. Driven only about 900 miles in last 5 years, but always garage kept. Original mileage 56900. Originally a NC farm truck with low miles, restored in 2006 and sold at Charlotte, NC auction for $26,000. No rust or putty anywhere, extremely solid steel. It was sold to me by Hertrich's Ford dealer in MD as a 428ci non-CJ. However, the guy who restored it in NC thought this was a 1966 390 FE from a T-bird (he restored 3 F-100s in 3 years after he retired from the Army). If you know about Ford FEs, you can't tell the motor size unless your disassemble the engine. It is not the original 1965 352ci from block code and is a 66 motor. Has Ford C-6 auto trans with column shift and 4-barrel carb. Has rare power steering for a 65 truck. Rebuilt original drum brakes with chrome power booster and original running gear. Original Ford I-beam frame and underneath is solid with no rust, painted with POR or black underbody coating. Has heavy-duty trailer hitch and good power to pull your classic Chriscraft boat or trailer queen to shows. Bed is rubberized coating but has a 4-inch crack in coating. Nice aluminum mag wheels with good tire tread but I would replace tires since they are at least 13 years old. Few flaws in pictures are peeled paint below gas fill (easy fix with matching Ford color), small dent in front chrome bumper, and gas gauge non-op (probably the sending unit). Color is 65 Ford Holly Green with Mint Green accents and green bench seat.
