1963 Ford Ranchero 302, 5 Speed Manual, 8 Inch Rearend, Disk Brakes
Description
1963 Falcon Ranchero in running and driving condition. It has a mild built 302 with a small cam (nice mild lopey idle), engine has less than 5,000 miles on it and has carter afb carb(same as edelbrock), edelbrock rpm intake, roller rockers, msd pro billet distributor and msd 6al ignition box, ford performance valve covers and chrome air cleaner. Runs very strong and sounds great does not leak oil or smoke at all. Brand new alluminum radiator just installed as well. Transmission is a t-5 5 speed manual with hurst shifter out of a late model mustang gt and shifts great and clutch is smooth with no chattering. Rearend is an 8 inch (was told posi but cant confirm) out of a early mustang and has slide-a-link traction bars. Front has manual disk brakes and drums on rear and both have the 5 lug wheels. Wheels are vintage 14 inch American Racing torque thrust D type. Car has dual exhaust with turbo mufflers out the back and sounds great no exhaust leaks and has a nice mild deep tone. All chrome is on the car and in good shape not perfect. Body has a little rust around rear wheels mainly and a few bubbles starting on the front doors(see pics) all fixable with patches does not need new panels. Car is very straight aside from the one dent on drivers front fender and scratches that have been primered on driver side bed. Paint is very old and clear is peeling off and paint is coming off roof. Needs new floor pans as it leaks water inside from somewhere when it rains or gets washed (i think where the cab and bed meet because the sealer is cracked and missing there and the carpet get wettest right under that area. Floor braces are great as well as the rest of the underside just the 4 pan sections need replaced. Dash and guages are nice except for the whole cut for aftermarket radio. All lights and blinkers are in working order as well as the factory alternator light and water temp guage. Door panels are custom from the 90's and original bench seat is missing so it only has the one bucket seat from another car in it right now (wires on floor next to seat are for the power bucket seat in it). Needs new carpet. All the glass is very nice and windows roll up and down. Drivetrain wise this car is driveable as is and is very quick little car and a blast to drive with the 5 speed. Body need some work and interior needs some work and could use a set of tires they are a little dry rotted but all the expensive v-8 5 lug conversion stuff has been done already. Very easy car to restore it once again back to its former glory or drive it as is. I am asking what the drivetrain alone is worth and reserve is very reasonable for what your getting here. I have a clean title ready to go for new owner. Thanks and happy bidding.
