Up for sale is my 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible, 2-owner, 427 cu. in. (410+ hp) engine, automatic transmission, 37,927 original miles, original Wimbledon white exterior color with a black convertible roof and original tu-tone light and dark turquoise bucket seat interior with padded dash and matching convertible boot, upgraded full wheel covers, power steering, power brakes, power convertible roof, non-A/C car, AM/FM 8-track radio (aftermarket) with Ford dealer installed: FoMoCo dual forward mounted fender mirrors, front bumper filler mounted Unity driving/fog lights, dual rear quarter mounted FoMoCo antennas, fitted door edge guards. This car has been in my family since 1984. The car is absolutely beautiful and shows like a true low mileage car - crisp and clean! Ithas been garaged all its life and has not seen rain in our house since purchased, never restored but meticulously maintained and in fantastic condition. The car has been repainted professionally and overall the paint looks great and compliments a clean body. The interior is original and absolutely gorgeous including the seat upholstery, dash, door panels and carpet. The convertible roof operates up and down as it should, is original and looks close to new! The chrome and stainless shine beautifully and are original and in unbelievable condition. As you can see from the pictures, under the hood looks nice, the trunk area is clean and in nice shape too. The mechanics of the car are in excellent condition - it runs and drives nice and strong. Engine starts up quiet, shifts and drives great. An original 352 cu. in. car from factory that the original owner replaced with a date coded 1964 Ford 427 engine (C4AE-6015-A), with low rise cylinder heads (C3AE-6090-H), a low rise dual plane aluminum intake (C3AE-9424-F), factory cast exhaust manifolds (C5SE-9430-C) and a single 4V Holley carb (C9AF-9510-U).Transmission (RF-C8AP-7006-D) is a full-size Ford C6. The underside of the car is clean with excellent floors and frame and original undercoating over most of it (see pictures). Dual exhaust is in good condition, door jambs look great, the tires are older bias-ply and the wheel covers are in fantastic condition. No disappointments!!IMPORTANT ...
