GM truck
Description
1979 GMC 2500 4X4 Camper Special 8400GVW. In the late 80's it had 56,000 original miles when it was restored by the Winchester Truck Company in Ritzville WA. Winchester specialized in high quality restorations of 70's to early 80's GM trucks but went out of business in the 90's. Today Winchester trucks are rare and very collectible.
Rich farmers and discerning truck owners had Winchester restore their trucks and proudly drove them as status symbols instead of buying brand new trucks. I am the second owner who bought mine from the estate of a retired engineer. .
Great looking straight truck that drives solid without rattles and is very reliable. People smile and give thumbs up all the time but after owning for over 20 years and not using it much in the last few years I could use the shop space.
PS, AC, tilt wheel, delay wipers, cruise control, Two factory fuel tanks, factory stainless towing mirrors, 1 ton Camper Special big brakes, 1 ton HD suspension, HD cooling, factory build sheet under front seat, only thing ever hauled in Rhino lined bed is motorcycles.
Over two years ago a dealer of collector vehicles drive the truck, closely looked under and over the entire vehicle. He reported this is a very nice truck and estimated fair market value then at $25,000 less his selling costs.
*Do note (4 polished aluminum 16"wheels with four BFG all terrain tires shown in the storage pic are also included in the sale).
Park this magnet out front of your business, put your company name on it, and guaranteed you will attract smiling people.
This is a nicely restored truck in original condition and should be expected to have signs of being driven 40,000 miles since restoration. No warranty and buyer pays shipping, not interested in any trades, and I do not need help selling... thank you.
