I did not know the original owner; the truck was used as a delivery truck for a mom and pop hardware store in Troy, NY until 1972, It was parked in a barn at the family farm in Dutchess county. The truck was still driven but very rarely. The second owner I met when he bought the truck about the 1980's; The mileage was in the 20,000's and the truck was used for parades and car shows. The 3rd owner I know and he bought the truck in the early 1990's; he only used the truck for parades and local advertisements. I bought the the truck last year with 35,600 miles and put a little over 100 miles on it. The last owner had the truck repainted about 18 years ago. I don't know why he did since the original paint was good; if you choose to do so, you could wet sand the paint off to get back to the original. The carburetor is not original. The truck has a 248 6 cylinder and 4 speed, floor starter, 6 volt system; fuel gauge does not work i think its the ground wire.Truck has gone through maintenance about 8 years ago and gas tank was cleaned out and everything else works fine. the truck has all original interior. As you can see from the pictures, the truck is in great shape,The truck stops but the brakes need to be adjusted. Clutch is fine, no leaks, doesn't overheat, original GM glass and body parts.
