Description

Custom 1970 GMC Short Bed Step Side
Story of this truck:
I got this truck a couple years ago from an acquaintance who began a restoration on it around 6 years ago but was unable to complete. The body was super straight and almost no rust. About 3 years ago, he had the engine and transmission professionally rebuilt and a built Ford 9" Posi Rear with probably 4.11 gears but I'm not sure.. Unfortunately he no longer had any paperwork on it when I purchased it but I've knew the guy some time and I knew the truck for several years before I bought it. Since the rebuild, between he and I, the engine / trans have had about 3k - 4k. When I first got it from him, I took the truck mostly apart to sure up and sort out any issues it had from his attempt and give it new paint and freshen up the inside. It's now a daily driver IF you like lower geared, posi, off-the-line quick. It's made for cruising the streets, not the highway. I am over 60 years old and while I do love driving it, it's made for someone who wants some power to throw around. Odometer currently shows around 79,800. Current seats came out of 06 Pontiac Grand Prix (driver's side is electric) but I have the original bench seat with a new cover I was going to save for another project but will include with this auction with a Buy It Now. All work done by me: New carpet New Paint Leather Interior New Wood Bed Stainless Steel Rails Aluminum Diamond Plate bed Truck was originally a 3 speed column shift but was converted to B&M floor shift when rebuilt happened.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. If you have any questions you can call me:
