Up for auction is a very rare 1975 GMC Jimmy High Sierra 4x4. This is the last year of the full convertible top. I purchased this truck as a restoration project but plans have changed. This truck was a one owner vehicle until late 2016. The original engine has beenrebuilt alongwith the original Rochester carburetor. The transfer case was converted to an NP205 toaccommodate the Chelsea PTO winch. This truck is fully loaded with a factory clock, tilt wheel, buckets and console, and A/C. Allof theoriginal GM color matchedseatbelts remain in the truck as well. All ofthe original decals from thefactory remain in the door jambs and on the driver's side sun visor for 4x4 operation instructions. The body is very straight and is free of any major damage and dings. The floor pans have had one section cut out on each side that had rusted through. Brand new floor pans along with inner and outer rocker panels for the passenger and driver's side will be includedwith the sale of the truck. There is a bit of rust as pictured onthe lower driver's rocker and the passenger rear quarter panel behind the rear tire and where the rocker meets the quarter. There isalso a common rust hole in the passenger front inner fender as pictured. The paint on this truck has a good shine but is an older repaint of theoriginal color. It is presentable as a driver, but would need a repaint to be a show truck. The undercarriage of this Jimmy is extremely dry and rust free only having minorsurface rust on the frame and suspension components. The inner rocker boxes, rear bed floor, andrear floor pans are all solid and rust free. All of the glass is in great shape and the removable top is free of any major cracks or separations in the fiberglass. The engine runs well but has a slight lifter tick on a cold start. This quiets down after it has warmed up. The transmission shifts smoothly and the transfer case engages in both 4x4 high and low ranges. Included with the sale of the truck is the original owner's manual, warranty service interval pamphlet, and the original 1975 GMC Jimmy Brochure. There is also an operating manual forthe PTO winch and a manual for the period correct aftermarket 8 Track player. This is a great start to a restoration project or would make a fun summer cruiser with minimal work.
