Description

For sale is my 1968 Scout 800 (It's titled as a 69, apparently that is the year it was sold). This Scout had a complete frame off restoration about eight years ago and has been garage kept ever since. The engine, transmission, transfer case and both differentials were completely rebuilt and new dash gauges. This Scout is mostly stock except for 16 inch wheels and new tires, a DIY electronic ignition, an aftermarket radio/CD player, a center console and electric wipers. Since restoration it has a little under 18,000 miles on it. During the restoration I had numerous parts powder coated including the complete frame, valve cover, oil pan, front cover and skid plate. It has the 152 CI engine and stock three speed transmission with the twin stick transfer case. There is no major rust on the body but a little staining is showing and since I did drive it almost 18,000 miles there is some wear to the finish. There is no body damage except for a small dent in the front bumper. I did change the seats from the original bench seat to stock Scout buckets. Both the bed and interior floorboards have been bed lined and are in very good condition. The toolbox in the bed is included in the auction. I also have numerous spare parts included with this auction, including a spare transfer case, transmission case and parts, flywheel cover, front fender, front nose piece, rear glass, hood, almost complete internal parts for both the Dana 27 and 44 differentials, wing window frames, clutch cover, tailgate, bulkhead, steering box and numerous other small parts. This is a great truck and really fun to drive. Winning bidder needs to pay $500.00 on completion of auction with balance by cash or money order at pickup in Finchville, Kentucky.
