Description

Same owner since the mid 1980's, bought from the original owners. This smooth riding, tight steering, adult driven, and never abused Travelall was originally bought for towing an Airstream. This truck, in almost 100% original paint, comes heavily optioned and with the Factory Tow Package which includes: their most powerful V-8 392 Four Barrel Engine, TorqueFlite Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Disk Brakes, Air Conditioning, Transmission Cooler, Cruise Control, Heavy Duty Dana 60 semi floating Rear Axle, Tow Package Wiring System for Trailers, Optional 3.73 Gear Ratio, and Large Radiator.
It has both Factory Custom Interior and Exterior Packages. Custom Interior includes overstuffed seats, padded dash, and padded door panels. The Custom Exterior includes two tone paint (original), chrome bumpers (straight) and chrome trim on the side panels. The Factory Tinted Glass is all good (except for the bb hole), all windows go up and down as they should. Rear Window works from switch on the dash or the ignition key switch on the tailgate. The rear compartment is large enough to hold 4x8 sheets of plywood laying flat. The 4x4 locks in with a pull cable on the dash. Pull it, it's in four wheel drive and the dash indicator lights up, push it in, it's in two wheel drive again. Very easy to use. Front Hubs lock in for Winter driving, lock out for Summer months.
This truck has a very nice, quiet ride. The suspension is smooth, the seats are thick and plush. The 392 pulls this 5,700 pound truck quietly and effortlessly*.
This 40 year old Truck does need some work. I have a new tinted window ordered out of California to replace the the one shot by the bb gun. I don't have a place for it indoors, so things like that happen; it needs a better home. The rear quarters have rust issues down low, replacement panels are included with the sale. The roof has the common rust through over the windshield. It carries over to the A pillar at the very top. The Right Front Door handle was caught by a falling tree, bending the door and denting the roof. An excellent replacement Door is included with this sale. The Front Crank seal has a drip. The Left Vent Window is broken, a replacement is included. Cruise control box does not work, they almost never do. The white, vinyl inserts on the sides are shrunken and cracked. The original owners had some work done on the hood, but the incorrect color red was used. Dash is cracked in the middle.

* It normally runs well, but has not been driven in over a year, so the carb will need a rebuild. It starts and runs, but it isn't its usual, smooth self. The right tank has been stripped and lined, the left tank hasn't been used in years.
