Description

1986 Jaguar XJ6

Series III

Excellent Condition

This is an excellent example and is just plain stunning in the sunlight, overall good condition Jaguar XJ6.It is finished in Grey exterior with Grey interior as well. This in an excellent running and driving example, with no rust, and the stainless shines well.Pictures do not do it justice.

The EXTERIOR of the car is virtually blemish free. There are no scratches, dents, ding, non-shiny chrome or bright-work.Tires are nearly new. Lights all work, no leaks, no issues. If you wanted to nit-pic, there is one small spot on the seam under the rocker panel that has some bubbling starting to appear. It is the size of a nickel, and in a spot that could be easily treated without disturbing the paint. Also, it is missing the Jaguar emblem on the driver’s side front fender. The chrome is there, just not the insert.Overall I would rate the exterior in EXCELLENT shape. You would be hard pressed to find more than a handful in this condition at any time.

The INTERIOR of the car is in GOOD condition. There are no dash cracks, controls work, seats are comfortable, and the driver’s seat shows limited wear. The rear seats are also showing limited wear.Flaws: Wood inserts are good, but are showing some cracking, fuse door is broken, radio is missing (not sure why, but there is a cover plate over it.It has all the wiring to plug one back up either stock or aftermarket), headliner has a couple spots loose, passenger front seat has a tear. The seats are overall in good shape for the age, however the passenger side is a bit more dry than the drivers, hence the tear.I have left it as it is.

The mechanicals are in GOOD condition. It starts right up, drives straight, is comfortable, and is not leaking, smoking, using oil.Windows all work, lights, heater, a/c is working but not cold, and both tanks are operational.Only noticeable issues are: sunroof is not operational, a/c temp is not cold (though heat works), cruise is not operational, and the odometer is not operational.

Special note: The odometer is not operational in this car, so being sold true miles unknown (TMU).This car was in such beautiful shape, the low miles shown (40k), appeared to be accurate.I would suggest just driving it and enjoying the car for what it, an extremely well preserved example.

Should go without saying, but this is a classic automobile, and such it may have flaws that are inconsistent with a nearly new car. Please inspect the car or a Pre-Purchase Inspection BEFORE purchasing the car.It is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with all faults known (which I have disclosed) or unknown.
