1973 Jaguar XJ6 Base 4.2L
Description
I purchased this Jag for its front end and bumpers. I'm making it available as a parts or project car. I am not parting it out. Its a solid California car with little to no rust.It has a rebuilt head, new head gasket, Joe Curto carbs and fuel pumps(have receipts). Joe is no longer accepting carbs for refurbishment, so the value on the carbs alone is north of $500. Both tanks work. It runs, drives and stops. Converted the S1 master cylinder to S3. Compression is low on cylinder 5 so it smokes. It has a working "dealer option" sunroof. These sunroofs did not come from the factory but were installed by the dealer when new. Sunroof manufacturer is American Sunroof. Seats are OK, appear to have been redyed at some time. 3 Door panels are OK, front passenger has small rip, rear driver side is trash. Rear driver side door does not work. Dash needs refinishing but is intact with no cracks in the wood. Dash pad is cracked. Glass is good, windshield seals, front and back are shot. Has been stored with an allweather cover. All gauges work. Engine runs very well considering the low cylinder, idles smoothly, 40 - 50 lbs oil pressure, runs cool. Nice chrome S1 wheels including spare with OK caps. Lots of other good stuff. For some particular reason Ebay is listing the body type as UK, its not.
7/17: added pictures of floor and rockers per bidder (hopefully) request.
