1967 Jaguar 340 Base 3.4L
Description
For sale is my 1967 Jaguar MK2 340. It's good condition for the age. The body is decent with minimal rust. The floors and rocker panels are solid. I was told it had a respray in the late 1970s and looks ok and would be fine for a driver. This car was stored in an airplane hangar for 36 years, so I consider it a hangar find. The engine is recently rebuilt with lots of new parts and runs well. The average price to rebuild these engines is $5000-10,000. This engine has been fitted with straight port head and 2 inch SU HS8 carbs. Brake system is all new and drive line had been gone through pretty well and shouldn't need much work. The transmission is 4 speed all synchromesh transmission.Interior upholstery and wood is in good condition for the age. The carpeting is new.
Runs and drives well. I have not driven it much. It still needs work, but one could work on it as a driving project. The main things I know it needs:New tires installed (new tires included)Right rear window does not close the last inchdoor seals dries outSome of the lights don't work, needs connectors cleaned.Fine tuning of carbs and choke cable mounting bracketBoth lower front fenders need repair
Sold as is as shown as a driving project.Comes with some new and used parts. For sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Payment due in full in 7 Days after auction ends Cash preferred or wire transfer for payment. Local Pick-up only. I would prefer buyer to see car in person, but I'm doing my best to represent this car accurately.

On Jan-25-17 at 04:26:26 PST, seller added the following information:A few more items I want to mention. The right quarter panel had been bumped into by the ownership of the previous owner and had been tapped out, but needs minor body filler to finish. Both quarter panels have minor bubbling at lower edge see last picture. I'm at the maximum limit for pictures so can't show both side. They are the same way. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking and considering such a fine automobile!
