1974 Jeep CJ5 Renegade in PPG 509 “Renegade Plum” for sale. The Jeep was professional restored and runs great. All original steel body, the factory Stewart Warner gauges were professionally restored and calibrated by Bob’s Speedometer in Michigan, all 4 original seat belts were restored by Ssnakeoyl in Texas (driver and passenger belts retain the original “Jeep” foil inserts), the seats were recovered in the original factory pattern using the correct Wellington Vinyl from SMS Auto out of Oregon, the Jeep retains its factory original Whitco 5 window soft top with all hardware, all 5 original slotted aluminum wheels, NOS Spartan turn signal switch, original Grote tail lights and a period correct grey carpet kit. A new Bestop traditional bikini top and Bestop spare tire cover are included.
This is a legitimate 509 Jeep Renegade. Of the numerous Jeeps I’ve owned over the years this one was by far the most clean and correct Jeep I’ve ever had. It turns heads everywhere it goes. The original Whitco top is in exceptional shape for its age. The top has no rips or tears in the fabric. The windows had yellowed due to age so I had them replaced and the stitching redone on the top. The Jeep runs and drives just like a new Jeep from 1974. The original power train was completely rebuilt and runs like a top. The AMC 304 has more than enough power and the 3 speed transmission is nice and tight. The Jeep sports new Warn hubs and comes with the original owners manual as well as a 1974 Jeep brochure.

Great care was taken to ensure this Jeep retained as much originality as possible and I believe the restoration bears that out. The Jeep is sold without a warranty and in As-Is condition. I’m very familiar dealing with shippers and would be more than happy to assist as needed. A nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the close of the listing.
