1969 Land Rover Series-IIA 109 - 2.25L Gas
Description
1969 Land Rover Series-IIA 109. 2.25L Petrol.
From Warsaw, Poland. 98,740 original miles. No rust. 2.25L petrol engine and 4-speed manual transmission. Bronze Green Matte with Limestone Tropical roof and wheels over black vinyl. Built in Solihull, England as a left-hand-drive export model for Poland. Two owners from new, and same owner last 18 years. In excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition after a older refurbishment. Starts easily and runs strong and quiet with no smoke, noises or leaks. Transmission and transfer case work perfectly, and brakes and clutch are strong. Slightly oversize tires and front mounted winch give it a purposeful and aggressive stance. One of the nicest driving Series IIA's we have seen, and ready to be used regularly. A rare and wonderful vehicle that is rapidly appreciating. Currently located in Richmond, VA. Conveys with clear VA title.
Truck has fresh matte bronze green paint (2016) and is otherwise a very well maintained rig. The motor starts instantly and hits just shy of 60mph in 4th. Beefy electric winch up front works great, as does the aftermarket heater installed conspicuously under the passenger seat. Rust-free, and one of the best mechanically prepared trucks we've seen in awhile, with a classic rugged look.
Drivetrain: Starts and runs beautifully. Pulls well throughout the gears; no crunching or shifting issues. Solex carb has been replaced with a Zenith unit and an electric fuel-pump added in the rear. Transfer case works well. No surprises or issues; a very healthy Land Rover engine.
Exterior: Matte bronze green under an ivory white roof and color-matched wheels. Body panels are straight, paint is consistent and well applied. Tires in good shape. Electric winch works well, and is an incredibly beefy unit. Windows and doors shut confidently.
Interior: Well maintained. New upholstery on the seats. Headliner present and intact. Windshield wipers and fluid both work, as do all cabin lights, exterior lights, etc. Aftermarket heater discretely tucked under passenger seat operated with a hand control; has a forward-facing and rear-facing vents added under the seat. Original pancake heater still works (it gets cold in Poland; sometimes you need a little extra).
Chassis: Straight and rust free. Bulkhead, floors, etc. all solid. Please see photos below.
VIN Note: The VIN# is 26413649F. It precedes 17-digit VIN numbers and eBay will not recognize it.
