Description

This listing is an entire 1973 Land Rover series III, but is currently disassembled. I was half way through restoring this awesome vehicle when I ran out of resources and had to stop the project. This car would be perfect for someone who is looking to reassemble a Land Rover, or someone who wants to buy this lot because there are so many viable and good parts in it that you could use in the restoration of another vehicle.
I am happy to discuss anything about the car or provide more details or photos wherever needed. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I am going to give a summary of the parts and their conditions here, and then a more detailed description in the paragraphs below:

DETAILS
1. Engine4 cylinder engine was working great when the car was together. It was running a bit rich, but that is why we refurbished the carburetor. Spark plugs and spark plug cap are new.
2 & 3. Carburetor & Alternator
Refurbished the Carburetor ourselves - it's working like a charm. Alternator is brand new. We replaced it.
4. Transmission
Recently replaced (not by me). Looks newer than everything else.
5. BodyStripped off heavy layers of past paint jobs. The body is in great condition. No rust. Some dings and scratches and minor dents. Overall really nice.
6 & 7. DoorsBack door is in great condition. Side doors are in ok condition. Their locking mechanisms do not work, and the panels at the bottom of the side doors are rusted out.
8. Glass
Glass is in great condition. The only issue with any of the glass is that in the front left windshield panel there is a solitary crack that has been glued back together.
9. Tires
Five power king 7.00 - 15 LT tires. A bit worn, but drivable.
10, 11 & 12. Bed Hood and Roof
All three of these large pieces are in great condition. Each has been stripped of paint. Each has some dings, scratches and minor dents. Hood has some light oxidization on the underside.
18. Bulkhead
The bulkhead and footwells are probably in the worst condition. When I bought the car, all the holes and rust spots were filled in and painted over, but the reality is, the piece is pretty rusty and falling apart. I planned to replace this part in my restoration.
19. Chassis
The Chassis is in ok condition. It has a few rust holes and cracks that I will show in photographs below. Since the photograph (directly below), the steering wheel, bulkhead, and seat wells have been removed. The worst damage in the chassis is probably the front bumper mounts - they are corroded away. The back foot step is also quite corroded.
21. Nuts and Bolts and Small PartsI have kept all of the small details and parts that were removed from the car. Many are in great condition—some of them have been damaged and some of them were missing from the start. I kept everything I removed from the car in the process, and I will include it all with the shipping of this car—you can decide what small parts are worth keeping, and which ones need replacing.
23. Leaf SpringsLeaf springs are working fine. A bit of oxidization.
23. BooksTwo books that came with the car.
CONCLUSION
I am totally available if you want to discuss any part of this car or its condition. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I have done my best to provide as detailed description as I can, but I can give any details or additional information you might need. I hope this project is just what you are looking for.
To finish, here again is a photo of the car in it's original state.
