This 1985 land rover defender 90 is a prime example of a true off-road machine and a weekend driver. This defender was imported from Italy and has been restored inside and out. This defender took the long journey from brecciaItaly to Canada. This defender has had 4 owners over its lifetime and they have all taken great care of the car.
The features
This defender has a few features that have been added or have come from the factory. The roof on this model is removable if you live in warmer climates. From the factory, the defender also includes a computer immobilizer(To start the defender the immobilizer key must be set to on before you start the car). The previous owners have also added a tow hitch with power and also added a 12v port in the interior. The vehicle also comes with its factory high jack. On the rear of the defender, they have added a mandatory Guinness beer bottle opener for emergencies.
The engine
The vehicle's mileage is 154,000km(96,000 miles) with its OEM 2.5 naturally aspirated diesel engine. The engine has had work done to maximize power output, ensure ride quality and preserve gas mileage. Thedefender will reach highway speeds at 100kph. New hoses and other parts have beien added before the tune. The engine runs great and starts up every time. There is a small oil leak that is common on defenders.
Restoration
During the 1year restoration, the vehicle was repainted any rusted parts were removed and replaced. The undercarriage and chassis have been repainted and will be protected for the years to come. The restoration included many parts added to the car including
