Land Rover Defender 110 CSW Diesel
Description
1990 Land Rover 110 Diesel County Station Wagon.
RHD, recently imported from the UK.
The Defender 110 is fitted with a 4 cylinder Diesel Turbo Engine (19J) which has good low down torque and excellent gas mileage. It has a 5-speed manual transmission which transmits the power through a 2 speed (Hi and low) transfer box with a locking center differential with permanent 4-wheel drive.
The body is aluminum on top of a steel chassis. This 110 is the much sought after County Station Wagon model which has 5 doors, 3 rows of seats and carpeting. The Defender is much loved for its rugged construction, simple mechanics and all round basic simplicity.
This is a very straight and original Land Rover 110. It has only had 5 owners, with the last owner being a family who had it for 10 years. The Exterior paint is faded and there are a number of dents and spots of aluminum corrosion bubbling through. However structurally it is very sound. The bulkhead is in good condition and the door frames are solid. The door bottoms have small areas of rust, but nowhere near as bad as other examples I have seen. The rear doors are particularly good as these are known to rust heavily and replacements are difficult to get hold of. The interior is clean and free from rips for a 25 year old vehicle. The engine and transmission are smooth, having being regularly serviced and the drive-train is in good order.
It recently had all the bushings in the suspension replaced, a new windshield fitted and some brake lines replaced and the fluid refreshed. It comes with full service history.
This Land Rover is not yet titled in New York. It comes with the UK Title (V5) and the importation documents required to title it in which ever state you require.
I store the vehicle in New Jersey about 10 miles from the George Washington Bridge. It can be viewed at weekends. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or to arrange a viewing.
