1979 Lincoln Continental "Collectors Series"Dark blue velour interior, Has the collectible operating, NON leaking sunroof with gold/ bronze tint,and all factory options, cruise, tilt, am/fm/8 track,rear defog, trunk release, cornering lights, working head light covers.Please read the whole description.This was a elderly owned Lincoln from Florida. Interior is excellent, dash is excellent, interior is honestly like new, the couple did not smoke in this car.They had the Lincoln for years, then went on to live with family in Virginia. To what I was told they got to old to drive and the car set.I bought this Lincoln based on story and details to me, sight unseen,.The Lincoln arrived, and had a few flaws, the biggest was the following.Looking at the car from the front, on the right side of the hood, there is rust on the corner.There is rust in the drivers side left rear door, there at the bottom of jamThe back bumper is absolutely rust free, but the brackets holding the bumper, the right side bracket was rusty, and the person had tied the bumper on with wire. Kinda upset with that, so, me and buddy removed the bumper from the Lincoln.Ive been told this a pretty common problem with FORD,LINCOLN, MERCURY bumper brackets.Ive seen this on some Ford products, is it tru, I dont know.The frame is nice, no rust.I can only think the Lincoln set a while, and possibly from sitting, not being covered,leaves or what ever made hood, and rear door jam hold water, moisture and dampness caused these areas to rust.The trunk has no rust.The motor runs good, we did a partial carb rebuild, not a tune up.replaced rear brake lines.
Not sure if someone would want to restore or part out.Ive had many folks ask me to just sale the moon roof. ( pretty rare from what im told?)THE INTERIOR OF THIS CAR IS ABSOULUTELY IMPECCABLE!DASH BEAUTFULI dont think for a body man, it would take much to make this Lincoln really nice.Im selling the Lincoln AS IS, no warranty implied nor expressedIt comes with a clean, clear title
