Miata MX-5 1991 One Owner survivor
Description
We have owned this car since new. It has never been driven in winter nor seen any road salt.
It is 100% original except for tires (new 500 miles ago), battery, brake pads and shocks. All maintainance has been at or sooner than required intervals. It is the uncommon Siverstone/clearcoat paint. It has always been covered and garaged.
Sadly the coolant was lost and the engine overheated. The piston rings lost their temper and engine has no compression. Bores are not scored as shown by fiber optic inspection. Engine oil pressure is still 60 PSI.
A straight forward job for someone with the youth and tools to undertake it.
If I were to keep it, I'd replace the convertible top just because of age (no leaks), add leather seat covers, have the small ding on the trunk lid fixed and have the hood repainted (stone chips).
You may pick it up or arrange for a car hauler.
