1979 Mercedes 450SEL 6.9
Description
I have always wanted one of these cars, and was able to get a hold of one. Today I am so busy with work and life its time to get rid of some of the toys. I have owned the car 6 years and never really drive it. The car runs and drive fantastic and I'd feel comfortable with anybody flying into Las Vegas and driving it home to any state adjacentto Nevada. The car was repainted its factorycolor about 12 years ago. The job was quality as you will see in the photos. (All the trim was removed) Listed below are all the things I have replaced since I have owned it.
- Both front spheres
- Pressure accumulator
- Front ride height valve ($670 Star Motors)
- Upper Control arms
- Tie rod ends and all steering links
- Water pump
- Fan Clutch
- Rebuilt Alternator
- Radiator
- Valve cover gaskets
- Completely rebuilt drive line with joints, flex disks, and center support bearing
- Unwired Tools ACCII upgrade
- Front brakes
- New old stock dash
- Front window switches
- Refurbished wood
- Kenwood Bluetooth Stereo with Boston Speakers
- Hurrs Original MBZ Sheep Skin Seat Covers
While the car is very presentable now, it has some rust as its a mid-west car. Id drive it for a few years and start putting money aside to address the rust. When the new dash was put in the car, a new center air door was installed. Today the heater / AC is not working properly as I think there is a vacuum leak somewhere in the system. I'm trying to keep the reserve low on this auction so I'm not going to fix any of these issues. If you'd like any other photos or info please feel free to ask. I am more than willing to work with any shipping company you choose at your expense.
