This is the one you want: triple blue 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL. It was recently acquired out of Maryland. The trim code tag confirms this car to be an original blue on blue on blue model -- and the color-matched hardtop is included with a stand.Power comes from a4.5L V8 paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission, and modifications are said to be limited to an aftermarket Blaupunkt radio unit. This R107 is offered with the factory manuals, toolkit, and a clean VA title in the seller’s name.

The Blue (Blau 387H) paint is believed to be original and the seller does not believe there has been any bodywork done.This early R107 is equipped with slimmer bumpers andFactory 14″ wheels with body-colored hubcaps in fine condition. The seller notes an area of chipped paint on the hood about the size of a quarter.

The factory color-matched hardtop and blue soft top are both included and work fine. The paint on the hardtop is in good condition, and the soft top is nearly new and has been used very little. Rubber window seals have dried out and should be replaced at some point.

The original radio has been replaced with an aftermarket unit that works. The power windows, turn signals, windshield wipers, and horn all work. The odometer works and reads 104K miles. Only the clock does not function. Some cracks arepresent in the dash, with the largest visible over the glove box. A replacement dash is included in the sale.

The4.5-liter V8 engine and 3-speed automatic transmission are believed to be unmodified. The engineruns well and shifts smooth with no known leaks. The brake pads were recently replaced, the oil was changed, and the car is in good mechanical condition. Mercedes Benz rated the 4.5 liter V8 at 190 horsepower.
