This Mercedes is verified as "numbers matching" meaning both the engine and the transmission in the car are the correct and original units that were installed in the factory. This 560SL has the "vehicle data card" from the Mercedes factory, which is pictured below. It shows the original engine number to be "117967 12 016610." We have checked the engine and confirmed that same engine number stamped on the left side of the engine block. There is also a sticker on the main case of the transmission, pictured below, showing the correct corresponding VIN. The paint and interior codes are also correct and match the vehicle data card and the data tag by the radiator.
