Second owner 1983 Mercedes 380SL with the removable top and convertible top. Garage kept, rust free,non-smoker car. Only very minor defects with it's age. I acquired the car after the original owner passed away and I have had in my care for approximately 4 years. First off, everybody asks about the infamoustiming chain. Itwas replaced with 82,000+/- miles, and isdocumented. It comes with the original roof carrier, spare tire, tool kit and first aid kit. There is no back seat. Carpeting is original in the trunk and passenger compartment. Door panels are original. He did replace the wheels with Mercedes correct chrome wheels. The car had been sitting for a while after he passed so with that in mind, I did the following:
New fuel pump
New starter
Re-built transmission
Replaced torque converter
Repaired fuel distributor with new kit
Replaced with new injectors, plugs and wires
Replaced warm up regulator (re-built)
Replaced with new idle control module
Replaced with newbrake master cylinder and booster
Replaced new brake switch
Replaced cruise control actuator (rebuilt)
Replaced belts
New A-Arm and sway bar bushings
New steering wheel yoke
I do not need help nor do I need to sell this car andwill not acceptinternational bids of any kind. Keep bids to the continental USA.I want it to go to a good home and owner whom appreciates this type of car. This car is un-molested and would be a very good daily driver if you so choose. Is it 100 % perfect...No. No car at 36 years of age is going to be, so you can expect things to happen when you own a classic. There is no warranty written, implied,or spoken of any kind. What you see is what you get. Good luck and thanks for looking
