Up for sale is a ’91 Mercedes 560SEL in Arctic White over Grey Leather Interior with just over 32,000 original miles. The last year of the W126 S-Class, and one of the nicest examples to come on the market in recent memory. The car is equipped with every option from the factory, including ASR Traction Control which was only available in ’91, bringing the original window sticker just shy of $80k.
The exterior is in fantastic overall shape. There are no signs of bodywork, the paint appears to be all original and looks great. All of the panel fitment is spot on. It’s an extremely straight car. The blemishes found on the exterior can be seen in the pictures below. The car wears a set of 18’’ AMG Monoblock Wheels wrapped in 245/40/18 Pirelli PZero Rosso tires. The fronts measure 6/32nds, and the rears are at 7/32nds. All four chrome wheels are in excellent condition.
The interior is free of any wear. No rips or tears in the leather, and the seat bolsters are in fantastic shape. The headliner is in like new condition, as is the wood trim that is free from scratches, fading, and absolutely zero cracking. All of the buttons for the power options are in mint condition as well. The interior of the trunk is as new, as is the spare and all of the accompanying tools still in the plastic wrapping.
Mechanically the car is incredibly sound and has been incredibly well maintained. All temperatures and pressures are where they should be, even in the Summer heat with the A/C on full blast. No squeaks coming from the drive or accessory belts, and they pass the visual test as well. The brakes feel great and grab as they should with solid pedal feel. The steering and suspension feel spot on. No noises from the rack or front and rear shocks. The A/C blows snowballs in 95 degree weather, and all of the power options work as they should. It really does feel like a time capsule, and is a pleasure to drive. Detailed service history going back to the early 2000’s as well.
The car will come with all of the books, and the title is in-hand.
