1972 Cougar XR7 convertible
Description
This was a two owner car from California, (was purchased new in San Jose), the second owner only had it for a short time to get it road ready again when I purchased it. I have a Marti report that confirms info. The original owner brought it east around 2000,and rarely used it, it was always garaged. The owner passed away in 2005 and the car was stored until just before I bought it. The following was done to get it road worthy again, fuel tank was drained and cleaner and fuel lines replaced, all brakes were redone, new pads rotors and calipers, a complete tune up with new plug wires, points coil etc., all new hoses and belts. Car had one repaint in original color around 2005 and a new top was installed. This car is straight as an arrow has all original panels, under neath is clean and solid, no rust. Muffler and tailpipe needed to be replace so I had a new dual exhaust system installed. Engine is a 351 Cleveland 2v, and a nice smooth shifting automatic. Has ps, pb, power top works smooth, everything on the car works as it should, lights heat, ac works but needs to be converted, original interior is in good shape with normal wear for a 45 year old car, original am radio with 8 track that works Runs and drives grea, this is a real nice car and if I didn't find something else I like more I would not be selling it. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at any time. Car has a clear Ma title in my name. Any questions you can call me at 508-646-8531
