Description

Up for auction is a 1949 mercury, meticulously custom built. The restorationwas started in 2003 and was completed in 2005 then stored in a climate controlled garage as part of a large collection. I will try to describe the car to the best of my ability as I amselling it for a gentleman who bought the car from the estate around8 months ago and has decides to sell it.

Thetop was chopped, the doors were cut to fit, door handles wereshaved and the lights were frenched. All the moldings were polished and reinstalled keeping the original look. The spot lights have a button in them with door poppers to open the doors. a custom corvette grill was installed. Lakewood side pipes to give that fifties lead sled look.

The motor was a new Crate Motor from a localFord DealerI believe a 351with a new TCI C6 Transmission Genie Shifter. The rear end is still original.A Mach Serpentine Belt system was in stalled, Vintage Airand a Be Cool Radiator. Gear Head power steering, Flaming River steering column banjo steering wheel.

The exterior was painted with a base coat clear coat that still looks great, there are two chips that I saw one was the drivers door and the other was the front edge of the hood, both have been touched up so they are not easy to spot. The interior was professionally done by a local upholstery shop.

Allthe lights and gauges work, A/C blows cold and the stereo sound good.

This car has had a lot of moneyinvested in it, the Reserve islow for this caliber of car. Pleaseask questions as I will try to get you the answers. Please do not bid if you have ZERO FEEDBACK unless you contact me first.
